Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026
Social Score™, a free tool by Media Genie, is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you run a social media audit, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Questions? Reach us any time through our contact page.
Information We Collect
When you use Social Score™, we collect the details you submit through our audit form: your name, email address, business name, industry, website, an optional business description, and links to the social media profiles you choose to share (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, or X). We also record the Social Score and report summary generated for your submission.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to generate your personalized Social Score™ report, deliver it to you on screen, and improve the quality of the recommendations we provide. Your details may also be used to contact you about Media Genie products and services we believe could help your business — marketing emails are only sent if you opt in. We never sell your personal information.
How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. Access to lead information is limited to authorized Media Genie team members and protected by authentication. While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we work to protect your information using commercially acceptable means.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third-party services to operate Social Score™: Google Cloud (Google Sheets) for storing lead records, Microsoft for sending email notifications, and AI providers for generating your report content. These services process data only as needed to deliver the tool and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
Data Retention
We retain your lead information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes, such as understanding how businesses use Social Score™ and improving our offerings. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.
Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by reaching out via our contact page. If you opt in to marketing emails, every message includes a way to unsubscribe. Choosing not to provide optional information (like your website or business description) does not prevent you from using the audit.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, and the policy's effective date will be updated accordingly.
